Lotus Elan Sprint FHC 1971

Colin Chapman will always be an icon in the car industry, he will always be remembered as having a major role in the Motor Sport History of the late 50's and 60's. A Man that was known by his engineering ability which gave him several World Champion titles and made Lotus one of the most desirable cars for any Racing driver to be in at a starting grid.
After the launch of the Elan in 1963 and after several specifications and successes, Colin Chapman decided to do one final Special edition of the Elan, with a more powerful Twin Cam engine, the Big Valve ,and also with some added luxury in the interior.
The Elan Sprint was born. Our Elan Sprint is a totally original car, with its original Lotus chassis that was latter galvanised, fitted with the matching Big Valve Twin Cam engine developing 130 bhp fed by the correct pair of twin choke Webers that equipped very early Sprints. This car was always very well looked after with huge service history that confirms its condition. Mechanicaly it is very strong, smooth and powerful, showing it is fresh and in very good condition.
The interior has all the correct original elements and is in absolutely perfect original condition. The body has the right "patina " and is in good condition.
This Lotus Elan Sprint FHC is a totally Matching numbers car and a piece of Colin Chapman's history.
